Recognition deserves
more than a moment.

For years, I had thought about the many meaningful words people receive throughout their lives: a thoughtful message from a colleague, encouragement from a friend, praise from a leader, feedback from a professor, an award, a recommendation, or a quiet acknowledgment of something done well.

These moments matter, but they are often scattered across emails, messages, documents, social platforms, and memories. Over time, many disappear.

A résumé can tell people where we have worked, what we have studied, and some of what we have accomplished. Other platforms may reveal parts of our professional or personal lives. Yet none of them fully preserves the good that others have genuinely witnessed in us—our character, contribution, leadership, growth, courage, and impact.

That gap became especially clear to me during a difficult season in my own life.

Because I am naturally private, very few people knew the full extent of what I was navigating. In the absence of that context, I learned that some people had formed conclusions about me that did not reflect my reality.

The experience made me think deeply about how easily a person’s story can be reduced to one chapter, one assumption, or one incomplete point of view. Someone may witness a difficult moment without seeing the courage it required to keep moving, the responsibilities being carried quietly, the work still being done, or the victories taking place beyond their view.

What if there were a place where the good others genuinely see in us could be recorded and preserved?

Not empty praise. Not popularity. Not a carefully manufactured image.

Real recognition.

• The professional acknowledgments.
• The personal encouragement.
• The scholarly feedback.
• The awards and accolades.
• The evidence of character, contribution, leadership, service, and growth.

That question helped bring PRAELIQ—pronounced “pray-leek”—to life.

PRAELIQ is a recognition platform where people can bring these meaningful records together into a living profile. Recognition may come from colleagues, leaders, professors, friends, families, organizations, or communities. Members decide what remains private and what becomes part of their public story.

I conceptualized, designed, and developed PRAELIQ from end to end as a personal project. It brought together several parts of me: my experience in people leadership and organizational work, my interest in human behavior and flourishing, my love of design, and my belief that meaningful recognition should have somewhere lasting to live.

PRAELIQ is also an extension of my developing framework, The Love Genome™.

The Love Genome™ explores love as a source from which virtues are expressed, character is formed, relationships are shaped, and human flourishing becomes possible. PRAELIQ carries that idea into practice by preserving evidence of the virtues people experience through one another—such as gratitude, dignity, integrity, encouragement, service, compassion, honor, justice, and generosity.

If The Love Genome™ provides the framework, PRAELIQ is its living recognition layer.

PRAELIQ does not suggest that life is perfect or that difficult experiences should be erased. It simply creates room for a fuller record.

Hardship should not become the only story told about a person. A title should not be the only measure of a life. And meaningful words should not disappear simply because no place existed to preserve them.

We are all more than the hardest chapter someone happened to witness. PRAELIQ gives the good a place to be recorded, remembered, and carried forward.
